Thank you for your interest in our online shop. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. The following statement is designed to inform you about the way your data is handled.

1. Access data and hosting

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Each time our website is accessed, the web server automatically saves a server log file, which contains the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, data volume transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access.

This access data is evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the site and improving our services. In accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interest in the orderly presentation of our website. All access data will be deleted at the latest seven days after the end of your visit.

Hosting services by a third-party provider

In the context of data processing on our behalf, a third-party provider provides us with hosting and display services. All data that is collected during your use of this website, or in forms provided for this purpose in the online shop (see below), will be processed on the third-party provider’s servers. Any processing on other servers will be within the scope described here.

The service provider is located in a country of the European Union or European Economic Area.

2. Collection and use of data for the purpose of processing contracts, establishing contact and opening a customer account

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide us with it in connection with your order or when contacting us (e.g. via the contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such, because in these cases we need the data to process your enquiry and you cannot send your order or contact form without including this information. Which data is collected can be seen from the form concerned. We use the data provided by you in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR for contract processing and for processing your enquiry.

If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR by opening a customer account, we will use your data for the purpose of opening a customer account.

Following resolution of your enquiry or deletion of your customer account, your data will be restricted for further processing and, after expiry of the retention periods provided for under tax and commercial law, deleted, unless you have expressly consented to its further use or we reserve the right to its further use for a purpose permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement. You can delete your account at any time by notifying the person specified below or by using the relevant function in your customer account.

3. Data transfer

In order to fulfil the contract pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR, and insofar as is required, we share your data with the shipping company that delivers goods on our behalf. Depending on which payment method you select in the ordering process, we will pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution and payment service provider commissioned by us or to the payment service selected. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must register with the payment service provider as part of the order process. In this respect, the data protection statement of the payment service provider concerned applies.

We also use an external merchandise management system for order and contract processing. The data transfer and processing taking place in this respect are based on the processing of your order.

We use payment service providers and shipping service providers based in a country outside the European Union. Personal data is shared with these companies only to the extent necessary for performance of contract.

Data transfer to shipping service providers

If during or after your order you have given your express consent for such data sharing, we will forward your email address and telephone number to the shipping service provider concerned pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR so that the provider can contact you to arrange delivery.

You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the contact person specified below or by contacting the shipping service provider at the address below. Following such revocation, we will delete your data unless you have expressly consented to its further use or unless we reserve the right to its use for other purposes that are permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.

Data transfer for the purpose of age verification

If your order includes goods whose sale is subject to age restrictions, we will ensure, by using a reliable procedure including a personal identity and age check, that you are of the required minimum age. For this purpose, we use the SCHUFA IdentityCheck system. This service is operated by SCHUFA Holding AG, Kormoranweg 5, 65201 Wiesbaden.

In order to ensure you are of the minimum age required, individual personal data (e.g. name, address and date of birth) will be transmitted to SCHUFA Holding AG. An identity check with Q-bit, which has been approved by the Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media (Kommission für Jugendmedienschutz, KJM), is then carried out.

In accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, this data transfer serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests by ensuring our offer conforms to the law on the protection of minors.

In this respect, no credit check is carried out.

After performance of contract and expiry of the retention periods allowed for tax and commercial purposes, your personal data as processed for this purpose will be deleted, unless you have expressly consented to its further use or we reserve the right to its further use for a purpose permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.

Data transfer to debt collection companies

In order to fulfil the contract pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR, we shall pass on your data to an authorised collection agency if our payment claim is not settled despite reminder. In this case, the claim will be collected directly by the collection agency. The passing on of this information serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the assertion or enforcement of our claim as per Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

4. Email newsletter and postal advertising

Email advertising with newsletter registration

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or provided separately by you to send you our email newsletter on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time either by sending a message to the person indicated below or via the link provided in the newsletter for this purpose. We will then delete your email address from the recipient list, unless you have expressly consented to the further use of your data or we reserve the right to the further use of your data for a purpose permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.

Email advertising without registration for the newsletter and your right of objection

If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of a product or service and you have not objected, we reserve the right on the basis of § 7 para. 3 Unlawful Competition Act (UWG) to send you via email regular offers for products similar to those you have already purchased from our range. This serves to protect our overriding legitimate interests in advertising to our customers.

You can object at any time to this use of your email address by sending a message to the contact person specified below or via a link provided for this purpose in the advertising email. You will not in doing so incur any costs other than the transmission costs provided for under basic tariffs.

The newsletter is sent as part of processing on our behalf by a service provider to whom we forward your email address for this purpose.

This service provider is located in a country outside the European Union and for which the European Commission has established that there is a suitable level of data protection in place.

Postal advertising and your right of objection

We reserve the right to use your first and last name as well as your postal address for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you information.

Offers and information about our products by post. This serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests in advertising to our customers in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Advertising mailings are processed on our behalf by a service provider to whom we forward your data.

You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact person specified below.

5. Integration of the Trusted Shops trust badge

The Trusted Shops trust badge is used on this website to display our Trusted Shops seal of approval and any reviews provided as well as to offer Trusted Shops products to buyers after an order.

in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves the protection of our legitimate interests in optimal marketing by enabling safe purchase. The trust badge and the services advertised with it are a service provided by Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne. The trust badge is provided by a CDN (content delivery network) provider as part of order processing. Trusted Shops GmbH also uses service providers from the USA. An appropriate level of data protection is ensured. You can find further information on data protection at Trusted Shops GmbH here.

When the trust badge is clicked on, the web server automatically saves a server log file, which also contains your IP address, date and time of the access, transferred data volume and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access. Individual access data is stored in a security database for the analysis of security issues. The log files are automatically deleted within 90 days of creation.

Further personal data is transferred to Trusted Shops GmbH if you decide to use Trusted Shops products after completing an order or if you have already registered for use. The contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies. For this purpose, personal data is automatically collected from the order data. Whether you as a buyer are already registered for product use is automatically checked on the basis of the neutral parameter of an email address hashed via cryptological one-way function. Prior to transmission, the email address is saved in this hash value, which cannot be deciphered by Trusted Shops. After checking for a match, the parameter is automatically deleted.

In accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, this is necessary for the safeguarding of our and Trusted Shops’ overriding legitimate interests in buyer protection linked to the specific order and in transactional valuation services. Further details, including how to object, can be found in the Trusted Shops data protection statement linked to above and in the trust badge.

6. Cookies and web analysis

In order to make visiting our website more user-friendly, to enable the use of certain functions, to display suitable products and for market research purposes, this website uses cookies. In accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests in the optimised display of our website. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use (session cookies) are deleted after the end of your browser session, i.e. after you close your browser. Other cookies (persistent cookies) remain on your device and enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit. You can see the duration of storage in the overview in the cookie settings of your web browser. You can set your browser so that you are notified when cookies are set and decide whether to accept or reject them in specific cases or in general. Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for Web Analytics

If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR, this website uses Google (Universal) Analytics for the purpose of website analysis. This service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operated under Irish law and having its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. (www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods, such as cookies, for the analysis of your use of the website. The automatically collected information about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. IP anonymisation on this website ensures that the IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other states that are signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. The anonymous IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. Data collected in this context is deleted at the end of its use for its intended purpose and after we have stopped using Google Analytics.

Insofar as information is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States, Google LLC is registered under the EU-US-Privacy Shield scheme. Certification can be viewed here. This scheme ensures an appropriate level of data protection in participating companies.

You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl. This will prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google.

As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click on this link to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will then be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will again be asked for your consent.

If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR, this website also uses Google Signals. This is an extension function of Google Analytics that enables cross-device tracking. This means that if your Internet-enabled devices are compatible with your Google Account, Google can generate reports on usage behaviour (especially cross-device user numbers) even if you change your device. Google will use data for this purpose if you have selected the setting “personalised advertising” in your Google Account.

We do not process personal data in this respect. We only receive statistics based on Google Signals.

You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl. This will prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google. In addition, you can deactivate the setting “personalised advertising” in your Google account. Details can be found here.

7. Online marketing

Google Ads remarketing

We use Google Ads to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. When you visit our website, Google places a remarketing cookie that automatically uses a pseudonymous cookie ID and makes it possible to show you ads based on your interests as inferred from websites you have previously visited. In accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves to promote our overriding legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our website. The data collected in this context will be deleted after use and after we have ceased to use Google Ads Remarketing for its intended purpose.

Further data processing will take place only if you have allowed Google to link your web and app browser history to your Google account and to use information from your Google account to personalise advertisements you see on the Internet. In this case, if you are logged in to Google while browsing our website, Google will use your information in conjunction with Google Analytics data to create and define cross-device remarketing lists. For this purpose, Google temporarily links your personal data to Google Analytics data in order to form target groups.
